HOWTO Run a Fundraiser
Approval of a fundraiser is required if any of the following are true:
- The request will be seen by any non members (public mailing list, social media, direct contact with grant-givers etc.)
- You are requesting $1000 or more
- You do not have spending authority for the area which would be receiving the funds (ZC, SIG Leader, Officer/Board)
To get approval, you can either email fundraising@i3detroit.org, contact the committee on the #grants_fundraising channel on Slack, or show up to a committee meeting on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM.
Even if you are not required to get approval from the committee to run a fundraiser, we do offer help with fundraisers. We can help you with organization and marketing. We're here to be a resource more than a bottleneck.
When your fundraiser is set up don't forget to add it to the Current Fundraisers page so we can keep track (Just copy-paste the template at the top)!
