Class materials for the Make Your Own Printed Circuit Board class held on May 12, 2011

If you attended the class and purchased the class materials, you should have received all the parts necessary to build a "dark detector" circuit.  The circuit makes an audible buzz when the photocell is not exposed to sufficient light.  Great fun to hide in someone's bedroom!

Parts List

  • R2: 1K Ohms (brown black orange)
  • R3: 10K Ohms (brown black yellow)
  • PH1: Cadmium sulfide photocell
  • IC1: LM555N timer
  • C1: 0.05 uF
