This is the design we'll be making. You can customize your own board subject to the following constraints:
- Woods available to class: Hard Maple, Cherry, Walnut, Padauk, Purpleheart
- In order to keep the cost of the class reasonable, you should use a minimum of 6 inches of either Maple or Cherry, and you can use other woods for the remaining 4.5 inches
- Also for cost (and time), keep board width to 10.5 inches
- Our boards will be about 3/4 inches thick
- In order to keep class moving at a steady speed, we'll only be using widths of 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 inches
For example, here are other permissible designs

Use your artistic freedom!
Do not be fooled by the cost shown on that web page. Wood has become extremely expensive, and most cutting board classes are $100+
Class Notes
Class fee is $25 (this will go up at least 2x for future instances!!!) and you will get to go home with a cutting board made by you! Impress your future dinner party guests with your charcuterie board which you helped design and make from scratch.
