Introductions
Experienced Members
- Paul is VP of Activties and is also running for Board
- Nick does web programming and other nerdy stuff
New Members & Guests
- Robert has been here as a guest for the past year and is joining. He does audio visual and also woodworking.
- Art(s and crash) is in the process of joining and is an old friend of Lew's.
- Dylan is currently in phase 2. He works at Ford on high voltage battery packs. He enjoys working on cars and machining.
- Emily has been a member for a few months, and she is a gardener and an artist and wants to learn how to use the CNC, the machien shop, and welding to make garden art. Her adorable pupper Girlfriend is here as well.
Old Business
Communication
- There's been some friction lately over communication methods (email vs slack vs word of mouth).
- Vivian wants to work on this and find some common ground and is looking for help.
- David suggests reestablishing the Communications Committee.
Board Election

- I hope everyone has voted. Voting closes tonight at 8:30 pm and results will be announced soon after that.
New Business
Discussions with Landlord
- PoC: Charlie
- Charlie has some suggestions to help our relationship with the landlord.
- He suggests we take the next Potlock to address some things about the space that are often forgotten like the shingled roof out front and where the soffet is warping.
- We should make an effort to show what good tennants we are. This may help with future dealings with him.
Autonomous Vehicle Group going to NY Maker Faire
- If anyone else is interested, talk to the group.

Zone updates
Fab Lab
- All machines appear to be running correctly
- Please let Amelia Meyer if you have issues with any machines
- Training!
- Classes are scheduled on request
- When enough (like 2-3) people ask for the same class, I will work on scheduling it
Jewelry Zone
- We have sold out the Stone Setting class. If anyone is interested in another one, sign up on the sheet on the black cabinet so you can be notified when it happens.
Laser Zone
- Both big lasers are currently down as of meeting time. Bumblebee's chiller won't turn on and Wolverine has yet-undiagnosed problems. Plan is to swap chillers and have a functioning Bumblebee after the meeting. Check the mailing list for more details.
Safety & Compliance
- Sean has a brand new first aid kit
Sky Zone
- Sky zone has been up 100% of the month.
Tool Crib
- Emily is taking over the Tool Crib from Evan but it will be a slow transition.
Vinyl Zone
- Heat press is broken (things started smoking). If you have an electrical inclination, Charlie is seeking help to repair it, so, tear into it if you're interested.
Welding Zone
- Welding is getting a little rearranged so pardon the mess, and if you want to help, talk to Jody.
- Last welding class went great, and if you want another one ask Jody.
- Jody is also working on welding a sort of balcony around the new pallet-rack-couches to make them more accessible from the ladder.
